Everything but the actual football
About Pickani
What this is
Pickani is a small set of tools for the pools people run around football season — squares grids for a party, a survivor pool for the office, a playoff bracket, clinching scenarios, and a bowl pick'em sheet. Five tools, one site, one visual language.
Every one of them does the same two things: let you fill something in without fighting a spreadsheet, and give you back a sheet that looks good enough to print and pin to a wall. That second part is the whole reason this exists.
Why it was built
Every year the same thing happens. Somebody volunteers to run the squares, somebody else rebuilds a survivor spreadsheet from scratch, and a playoff bracket gets drawn on the back of an envelope with the reseeding wrong. The tools that already exist online mostly want an account, bury the thing you came for under sign-up walls, or print like a web page rather than like a pool sheet.
So: no accounts, no sign-up, no app to install, and sheets designed to be printed. You open a page, make the thing, print it or share it, and get on with your day.
Your pools are yours
There is no account system on Pickani because there is no server holding your pools. Everything you make — names, picks, scores, payout notes — is stored in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. It is not uploaded, and nobody here can read it.
Sharing works the same way: a share link carries a compressed copy of the sheet inside the link itself, so sending one hands the sheet to a friend without it ever passing through a database. The trade-off is honest — clear your browser data and your pools go with it, so print or export anything you want to keep.
How it stays free
Every tool is free, with nothing held back behind an upgrade. The site is paid for by advertising, which is why you will see ad space on the pages around the tools.
Ads never appear inside a grid, a bracket, a form, or anything you export or print — a sheet you print comes out clean, with no ads and no site furniture on it. What we collect and what advertising cookies do is written out plainly on the legal and privacy page.
What it is not
Pickani is not a sportsbook and not a gambling service. It does not accept wagers, hold entry money, process payments, set odds or pay out anything. If your group plays for money, that is entirely between the people in your group, and whether a recreational pool is lawful depends on where you are and how it is run.
It is also independent. Pickani is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the NFL, the NCAA, any conference, any bowl organization or any team, and it does not use anybody's logos or marks.
Getting in touch
Corrections, bug reports, trademark questions and feature requests all go to the same place: the contact form. It reaches a person, and it only asks for an email address if you want a reply.
If something printed wrong, it helps to say which tool, which browser, and what the sheet was supposed to look like.
