About this slate
Bowl names and host cities are listed without sponsor prefixes, because sponsors change from year to year. Matchups and kickoff times for this season have not been announced, so every game starts blank — type in the two teams, or delete the games you don't want on your sheet.
The slate is a plain data file — src/data/bowls/2026.json — served through the same provider layer as the rest of the site's football data. Nothing here is guessed.
Questions
What is a bowl confidence pool?
You pick a winner in every bowl game, then rank your picks. With 35 games you assign the numbers 1 through 35, each exactly once. A correct pick scores whatever number you put on it, so your certainty matters as much as your accuracy.
Why are the matchups blank?
Because they have not been announced. Bowl names and host cities are steady from year to year; the teams are not. Pickani would rather show you an empty slot than invent a matchup, so you type them in as they're set.
Can I use only some of the games?
Yes. Open Edit the slate and delete anything you don't want. Confidence points renumber themselves to the games you keep.
Can I add a game that isn't listed?
Yes — Edit the slate, then Add a game. Use it for a new bowl, a conference championship, or anything else your group wants on the sheet.
How do I run a pool with friends?
Each person fills their own sheet and exports a PNG or prints it before the first kickoff. The organizer keeps the sheets, then scores them as the games finish.
Are the sponsor names missing on purpose?
Yes. Bowl sponsors change almost every year, so the slate uses the plain names people actually say. Rename any of them if you prefer the sponsored version.
