My survivor picks

Your season week by week, including which teams you've spent.

How it works

  1. 01

    Pick a team

Tap the week, choose a team you believe wins. That's the whole strategy.

  2. 02

    Mark the result

Survived or eliminated. The board updates and the used team gets locked out.

  3. 03

    Watch the list shrink

Used teams grey out for the rest of the season, so you can't repeat by accident.

  4. 04

    Share the board

Print it, or send the picture to the group when someone finally goes out.

One pick a week, one team forever

Survivor looks like a weekly game and is actually a season-long budgeting problem. You get one pick a week, that pick has to win, and the team you spend is gone for good. Two things follow from that, and both are easy to forget in week nine.

The first is that a pick is worth more than the game it wins. Taking the best team on the board in week one buys you a comfortable Sunday and costs you the option of taking them later, when the schedule may hand you nothing better.

The second is that you will genuinely lose track. By the middle of the season most people cannot list their own picks from memory, which is how entries end with somebody picking a team they already used and finding out from the commissioner.

This board is the fix, and it is deliberately small: your weeks down the page, the team you took in each one, and a strike through everybody you have already spent. When a pick loses, mark it — the board then shows exactly where the season ended rather than quietly pretending it is still going.

Nothing is saved to an account, because there is no account. Your season lives in this browser, and a copy travels inside the share link if you send one to a friend.

Running the pool rather than playing in it? The commissioner board tracks every player at once. New to the format? The rules, written out.

Questions

Why does it matter which teams I've already used?

Because you cannot use one twice. Every pick spends a team for the rest of the season, so a survivor entry is really a plan for eighteen weeks, not one decision a week. Used teams are struck out here so you cannot spend one by accident.

Should I save the best teams for later?

That is the whole strategic argument in survivor, and there is no settled answer. Saving strong teams gives you better options in the back half, if you get there. Spending them early maximizes your chance of surviving the week in front of you, which is the only week that can eliminate you. Most entries die in the first five weeks, which is an argument for not being too clever too early.

How does a survivor pool work?

Every week you pick one team to win. If they win, you're through to the next week. If they lose, you're out for the season. The catch is that you can only use each team once, so you can't ride one good team all year.

What happens on a tie?

Most pools count a tie as a loss, some count it as survival. Pickani lets you mark a tie separately so your board matches whichever rule your pool uses.

Can I change a pick I already made?

Yes. Tap the week and pick a different team, or clear it entirely. Your board is yours — Pickani is not the referee.

Does it tell me who to pick?

No. This is a tracker, not a prediction engine. It keeps a perfect record of who picked what and which teams are gone, which is the part people actually get wrong.
